About me!

I’m Riy, student studying Theatrical and Entertainment Technologies major at Michigan Technological University with a passion for lighting and projection design. From starting the renovation of my high school’s technical theater program in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, to working on productions like Mary’s Wondrous Body, Purple Hearts, the annual Drag Show at Michigan Tech and conventions such as LDI, I’ve sought to hone my skills in creative problem-solving, technical leadership, and collaborative design and through this, I am dedicated to growth through hands-on experience and constant refinement. Outside of the theater, I find inspiration in skating, gaming, writing, and making music, with aspirations to be a Live Media Technician in the Minneapolis theater scene or to join a touring crew.
